New to PWC and need to replace a head gasket (plan to replace both). So when replacing the head gaskets, what other parts and gaskets do I need to plan for?

What's the problem? Did you take it apart or was something leaking? In a pinch... if you didn't remove the entire gasket RTV will seal it back. In a pinch. :)

For the gaskets you'll do better getting a top end gasket set that buying the gaskets individually. Good Luck !

When I noticed water in the bilge, I discovered the two forward bolts loose and part of the gasket floating in the water. With the seat removed and the engine idling, water was shooting out between the exhaust manifold and head. I’ve found the replacement manifold gasket online and obviously loctite, but am unsure of other gaskets or parts I would need to replace as a result of the disassembly/reassembly.

Your post said "head" gaskets. :) Are you having issues with the exhaust gasket at the end of this pipe? If so there are some things you need to check.

That’s the exhaust manifold.

Chase and clean the threads.

Gaskets go on dry and follow the grease, thread lock and torque per the manual.

I would also change the rubber pipe bushings as that’s almost always the cause of exhaust gasket failures.

With bolts in the bilge,,,i am suspecting maybe a stripped thread?

The bolts were just loose. It was part of a gasket that was floating in the bilge. I was was able to retighten the bolts, but without the gasket, there was no seal.

Attempting to isolate the “rubber pipe bushing” part number. In the attached pic, I found a rubber bushing (p/n 293830031). Would that be what you’re recommending??

Bay Area Powersports in Virginia. That's where I buy most of my replacement parts. Jason is a great resource. Getting the exhaust bushing bolt in place and tight can be a challenge. :D Take special precautions when assembling the exhaust pipe to the exhaust mainfold. Those are the bolts that generally loosen up so keep checking them. Also check your motor mounts and make sure all of the bolts are tight on the mounts. Give the engine a pull from every angle to make sure the motor mounts are all in good condition. Generally bolts loosen from vibration. Good Luck !!
