Good morning. new to this forum. Ive got 2 new to me 2005 gti le rfi jet skis. The kids were out driving them and they brought one back said it was making a weird noise. sounded to me like it was coming from the impeller area so we loaded it up to take a look. comparing the two it seemed like the shaft was bent a little and maybe the vibration was causing the noise. Having it hooked to a hose out of the water i couldn't really tell a difference so put it back in, made it a couple hundred yards and it locked up. luckily after taking the housing off the back it is just the impeller locked up.
The questions I have is is this common to happen? don't know how that shaft would have got bent.
And as far as ordering parts i know the shaft, impeller and ring but wondering what everyone else would replace while doing the job.
And looking up parts on this forum some, like the shaft, don't have a price or option to order wondering what to do there.
