Recently replaced my starter and since the volt light is on with no beeps?? Prior to the starter being replaced I had replaced the solenoid and rectifier. I have not had a chance to get a volt meter on it yet. Thoughts?

If it is a Chinese starter that may be your issue,,,they are junk,,,,get old one,,,just get a brush kit,,,(OEM),,,and will be good as new,

I would get a multimeter on it to enderstand if you are under or over.

I would be cautious here because bad voltage could spike your ECU and nuke it.

So that I am prepared. Side note, after replacing the starter and noticed the volt light being on. I did drive the boat for a good 30-45mins with no issues.

What would a low voltage indicate?
What would a high voltage indicate?

Low voltage could be batter or charging system.
High voltage would be rectifier or regulator.

Either will most likely leave you stranded in the end.

I would check..

1.. The voltage with no running. (Should be 12.4 -12.7 volts)
2.. The voltage while running (Should be 13.4 - 14.3 volts)

Might be a dumb question, but is the rectifier and regulator the same part or are they different parts? I have already replaced my rectifier prior to the starter.

Before I even tried to start it battery read 12.44 volts. I started it and it read 12.3 volts. I then turned it off and reading was 12.51 volts. This is a brand new battery.

Would this be a Stator and or a sensor issue?

Check charging if charging is good clean all the grounds also check your weedless system I just had the same boat in for service and all the grounds where corroded the voltage reg was bad and the battery.and after replacing batt and reg the light came on started checking un unplugged the weed gate vts housing sure enough light went out.

I put in my original rectifier and all is good. No more volt light. Thanks for everyone that gave advice! Had the boat out all day today and not 1 issue!!! Volts while off was around 12.5 and at idle it was 13.6 and steadily went up to 14.2
