2005 Challenger 180 SC wear ring replacement

Hi, new to seadoos, bought a 2005 Challenger 180 SC knowing it need some TLC before this season. Doing an over haul of the drive system, new carbon seal, solas impeller, polish drive shaft, jet pump rebuild, etc. Ive run into issues with the wear ring. The first one i bought was a titian aftermarket which had an ID to small (OD was the same) and the impeller would not fit. Then i ordered a OEM PN 267000372, and it the ID and OD are larger then the old wear wring im replacing. How much shrinkage can i expect because it appears (before getting cold) that its to big to even fit in the housing???

thanks

Just curious, is the ring plastic or metal?,,,I put my rings in the freezer over night before I install them.

plastic, yea i tried freezing it. . . as it turns out after a 2hr dealer trip and call to seadoo the updated wear ring part number 267000372 is 171mm OD and the old PN 267000105 169mm. So apparently they changed the housings which have different diameters. I either have to replace the jet pump to a PN 271002161 because they dont make wear rings for the old housing PN267000046. Or I am try going to a local machine shop to see if they can CNC a wear wring or possibly alter an after market one and how much it will cost. before I spend money on a new housing. What a PITA, will post for reference latter.
