2004 Sportster LE fuel pump

So, I replaced fuel pump about a year ago after market with Highflow pump because the Seadoo version was $900. Wouldn't start without spraying starter fluid behind plugs but would run after starting. Then the lake went dry and I put it aside. Now the water is back and I decided to take it to the shop and see what I messed up. They did a compression test which was fine. Tested pressure at pump and only getting about 20 PSI which is not enough to start it. Recommendation is for the expensive factory part. Any thoughts?

I contacted Quantum Fuel about the fuel pump discussed above. They have made some changes to the Highflow pump I ordered. This was almost 2 years ago after finding the receipt and they are sending me a new pump to try. Good customer service. I'll post an update when I install. Fingers crossed.
