hey guys first off this is my first post and i am so happy to have found this site! i work on all my own cars and now that my boat is off warranty, ill be doing that too. my boat has a weird sound coming from the starboard motor and does not rev like the port one does out of water and at a stop. but the boat will plane off and run good, except it will all of the sudden surge with power and the motor will clear up. as if nothing is wrong. no check engine light or warning beeps. both motors start right up no porblem. the problemed engine will not be sharp right off the bat but while already on plane with surge, as if someone is hitting nitrous...pretty big power increase and will stay there for a minute or so but if i pull the throttles back and try to plane off again, it( bad motor) will sound like crap again and then once on plane it will clear out, sometimes, any ways i know this may not make sense so if anyone can help id be very greatful! thanks in advance.-jordan

sounds like you have a plug fouling, had something similar on my speedster 150...pulled the plugs and found one that was fouled...replaced all three and it runs great now!! Check that out and let us know!!

yep sounds good, just got back from west marine with the plugs. gonna eat a sub, put em in then go dump this thing in the water. ill let ya know. thanks alot thor

well problem solved. gps 52 mph with the tower up and a full tank of gas. couldnt be happier, now its time to finish the stereo and compounding :( leaving these boats in the sun is a recipe for disaster, then add salt water to the equation and you have a mess! thanks again

great to hear!! I had mine at 52 mph via GPS also back in April!! As far as compounding, I got the complete Surhold buffer with the Buff magic compound....took allot of time but the results were amazing!! The orbital was well worth the money.
