Boat is awesome!! Except for:

1. Fuel gauge stuck at 3/4 - how to troubleshoot/fix?
2. Speedometer stuck at 5 mph and does not move - how to troubleshoot/fix?

Thx!! David

To add - what's the fuel sender range for a '04 4-tec sporster?

To add...two pink wires are getting ohms (using my cheapo ohmmeter).
When I unplug my fuel gauge, I would expect it to drop back to "E", but it doesn't.
Can I use a standard fuel gauge from autozone? What's the range I would be using empty to full?
Looks to me like I have an almost empty tank and my ohmmeter is pegged out.

Ok...answered my own question(s). You can find the whole shop manual online. It explains how to fully troubleshoot both the fuel gauge and speedometer. It also shows where the access cover is to the fuel sender without having to remove the whole engine to get to the tank.
I don't think this forum allows external links. So, if you cannot see this link, let me know and I can send it to you.
