I have a 2004 SeaDoo Islandia and need to replace the wear ring. Problem is I can't find any information as to a part number for this. I have done many searches but can't find anything. Anyone here change one of these before?

Also, is the replace processes the same as a Seadoo jetski? I have done those before, just wasn't sure if it was the same or not.

Thank you for your help.

The wear ring on the Mercury M2 jetpump is one solid piece. There is no removeable liner that can be replaced like the Seadoo wear rings. I've read of a company out there (mini jet boat world likes the Mercury engines/jetpumps) that can bore out the stock wear ring and insert a plastic liner similar to Seadoo... but that is costly. Another, cheaper option is to skim-coat the stock wear ring with JBweld, sand it smooth, paint it (or not). This will help take-up the gap between the wear ring and impeller.

Check out this older thread with details and pics:

Cheers!

I was afraid of that. I will take it a part and see what condition it is in and go from there. Thanks for posting the old thread, good info!
