Question.. Yestersday I was running the RXP 215 and all of a sudden it sounded like the driveshaft spun off, the rpms shot up really hit and the ski stopped over and would only move at idle. At that point I was towed back and pulled the seat of... the whole hull was filled with oil. Theres no oil in the motor. The ski starts right up and seems to be running fine but what possibly happen?

Not to be a smartass but if there's oil in the hull and none in the motor, it isn't running fine.

Put oil back into the motor and look for an obvious leak. If you don't see you one start it up on the trailer with the seat off and look closely.

Before all that though, do you have a check engine light or "P" codes?

I'm not sure about your engine, but I had the same problem with a '98 GTX Limited. In that particular engine, yes it was a 2 stroke, the balance shaft had a separate oil compartment filled w/ 30W oil. When the balance shaft bearing went through the case all the oil leaked out.

Whatever you do, do not run the engine!

Being a 4-tec engine any oil loss is from inside the engine...

If you can't easily see the leak, get it to the ramp and leave it on the trailer and give it some RPMs and start looking for a leak.

Make sure you check the oil level before you start looking,,,
