Hello all,
New to forum here...recently picked up an older 2004 GTX Supercharged...having an issue with the beeper, and occasionally, not starting. I know the beeper works, replaced it...both the old one and the new one both work with 12v placed to them. When the lanyard is plugged in, I can hear a very faint click when the beeper is supposed to sound, it just doesn't send the signal to the beeper itself. Two clicks on initial plug in, three when the lanyard on the post too long, but can't tell where the very faint noise is coming from. Sometimes the beeper works fine, but not most of the time. Generally, the ski starts up regardless...sometimes it doesn't. I have pulled all the grounds loose from the block and battery, cleaned cables, tightened them back down, no better. Is there any way I can test the MPEM? I am guessing that is the issue. Anyone else ever have this issue and solve it? Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the problem, or better yet, the solution. Hate getting stuck out on the water and it not start.
