Well at first I found my battery to be bad, then I tried to jump the damn thing while my truck was running, then I bought a new battery - $105.00, and still no start. It turned over at first then the battery didn't seem to have enough charge to turn it over. Now I wonder if the starter is bad? or the coil or the solnoid. I just want the thing to run right. with out giving the local sea doo dealer 800.00 damn dollors!

It is not good practice to jump off of a car battery. the cranking amps are way to high for the MPEM/ECU to handle in a PWC.

Its possible the starter solenoid is bad.

try bypassing the starter relay thats a good way to check and see if the starter is good.check all the fuses.

This may be some thing new to me as I thought it would not matter how many cranking amps a battery had when it came to damaging electcal components. I can see where if you did not have enough amps you could damage some things. but too many amps? I can not see a problem with that as a device will only pull the amps needed and that is all. Now for voltage that is a whole nother beast. If your voltage is correct than you should be good there but if it spikes above or below I can see problems happening.
