I have a 2004 gti le rfi that will fire right up when cold. After 5 or 10 minutes of riding it will start to bog and have poor acceleration. If I shut the machine off I will have to crank it for a very long time before it will start. Is there a way to pull codes without a buds set up? I just bought the machine and and don't have any history. I don't have a check engine light that I know of. Where would it show up? Any common issues with these? I don't know if it's flooding the engine or if it's not getting enough fuel? any help would be appreciated

The bogging and hard starts usually mean fuel issues, but I know nothing about that model. The older carbies had problems caused by the fuel lines but I think yours are different. Grey lines are bad if it has them. Looking at the parts diagram of yours, I see the same pressure relief valve and one way vent, parts 31 & 35. Verify that they work.

Then, the injector or the rail may have some crud in them, but I don't know how to check that or clear it if it does. Sorry I'm not more help.
