I have a question about a reduction of speed when the boat takes a corner.
When going straight I typically go 45- 47 mph but the speed reduces when taking a gradual corner to turn around.
1. Would this be caused by an excessive gap in the wear ring? I haven't measured it yet.
2. Or a reduction in the water intake.

Just curious if other people have the same symptoms.

Very common with boats. Has to do with friction and resistance. If you see the RPMs tdrop hen I am correct. Simply apply more throttle.

Speed reduction while turning is normal in the 155 boats, and really all boats in general. Probably a bit less noticeable in boats with higher horsepower and dual engines. But in our 155's, it is what it is.

If you are concerned about your wear ring and/or cavitation a hole shot from standing still is your best test. The boat should hook up with no cavitation from a full throttle hole shot. If you have any cavitation then it is likely you need some work to the impeller, wear ring, or even carbon seal system.
