I never thought I would be posting this, but damn this thing is nice, 2 seater, like new, and priced right. Anybody know anything about these, it's fuel injected, 2-stroke, and exceeds 2006 EPA standards. Also 165 HP.

I need advice quickly as I don't think this will last long.

Thanks,

Lou

Extremely hard to work on. Exhaust system covers everything but spark plugs. Exhaust is very hard to remove.

GPRs are the holy grail of yammis, quite possibly one of the best skis they ever made.

ask spim............
He just got one.

x2 on gpr 13000 built to be the baddest ski of the time.

How about the price, the guy is pretty firm. Also it's listed as a 2 seater, I think you would need to be pretty friendly, definitely not for 2 guys.

That is a good looking ski,,,

Though I have never been under the hood, I have never heard bad things about the ski itself.

Working on it may be a different stroy..

Not sure how I feel about this coming from you, Lou.

But yes, It is sought after as I have two friends that would be highly interested in that ski if it were up here. Its all they talk about.

I suppose I should contribute something here..... no reverse.

This wouldn't be replacing a SeaDoo, it would simply be an addition. I was really considering a 4-tek SeaDoo, but now I don't know, this ski is mint.

It may have been fast... but the 1300 engine wasn't the longest life engine Yamaha made. Basically... it's because they tell you, they will run on TC-w3. Feed it good oil, and it will last longer.

I don't know.......

I use to be a huge fan of Yamaha. I've owned at least 20 toys from them over the years (FZ1, FZ6, R6, R1, YZ 125's and 250's. WR250's, XT350, Banshee, XL700, XL760, Wave blaster, superjet's, etc) .... but It's kind of like seadoo's 951. It's fast... but it could give up at any time.

Most of the scare from those motors are the powervalves. Not all that dissimilar to our Rave valves. I know before I got my XP part of the reason I never wanted to own a seadoo was due to the rave valves. This is quite possibly one of the most modded skis ever to this point in history. There are tons of forums, and threads about taking care of the weak points. If all else fails you turn it into a GRPXP or a GPSHO.

At that price I'd sell my prize XP to get it.

Lou, if you want a honest opinion--PM Pale Rider he had a stout GP and has been into every last nook and cranny of it.

I'll refrain from any negative comments.

Guys,

I appreciate any and all opinions. Honestly even though this is a great price, I've always been a sucker for a pretty face, I've about talked myself out of this ski. I've already got two fast ski's, or at least fast enough for me, my 96GSX and a 95XP800, and if I want to sacrifice speed for reliability I would get a GSX 951.

What I'm really looking for is a cruiser, like a mid to late 2000's GTI, 4-Tek, and the Yamaha doesn't really come close to what I am looking for. While I haven't totally made up my mind, this is the direction that I'm leaning, just stick with what I know.
