Hi guys, just wanted to say hi as I'm new to this forum. I live in Melbourne Australia. Just purchased my first ski, a 2003 xpdi. By reading a few posts on this forum, it looks as though I will be having a fun summer. Just a quick question. The place i bought it from has done a 100 hour service for me as part of the deal. Is this good? What does a 100 hour service entail? Also, each cylinder has been compression tested and runs at 110 each. I believe this is good?

Welcome to the forum....

Welcome to the forum. We have quite a few members from Australia. With your riding season just firing up, you'll need a place to come to when you need help. Well, you've found it.

The 100 hour check up on your machine should be to check and clean your rave valves. They should have inspected your counterbalance shaft oil, TDC setting, water flow regulator valve, fuel filter (replace at 250 hours), fuel injection system sensors, air intake silencer for fit, and fuel tank straps for tightness. They should have inspected the oil injection pump, replaced the oil filter (you should be able to see this where it comes from the oil tank) and your DESS (digital encoded security system). Your shift cable and jet pump cover should have been inspected for proper operation and the impeller shaft seal needs to be replaced at 150 hours if not done earlier. Your bailer pick-up tubes and hull should also have gotten a once over.
