Hi guys!
After the weekend I plan to acquire 2003 Sportster LE but I couldn't find too many info about it... so I'm asking for little help

1) Docs says it has 110kW. HIN number is CEC20295****. Is it rare 951 Carbureted engine?
2) Does the parts from 947 Carb 130hp suit 150hp one?
3) What should I check beside the cylinder compression?

Big thanks & greetings from Poland.

What I can remember the 951 and 947 is the same engine only differnt names(951cc). Don't think the carb 951cc is rare. you'll find them in lots of boats and skis.

Yeah but what about registration documents stating that its 110 kW (150hp)? From what I found common engine in this model is 947 (951) Carb 130hp.

Yeah you're right mine says 100kW. Strange[emoji848] It should have a lable just beside the battery swich, does it say 110kW to?

In the US they had to rate them weird so you can get insurance. No one would touch my 99 speedster back in 99. I kept telling insurance companies it was 220hp, 16.5' long. All I got was a clock from the phone hanging up. Power to weight ratio. I'll have to check in a month when I get home, but they actually rated the jet pump hp in it so you could get insurance. So, no, it's not strange. At least this was my experience.

By looking at your image posted at the beginning, it shows the Emissions System as CARB.
That tells me its a carburetor version.

Pretty sure that's CARB

California
Air
Resource
Board

They're the people that set standards for emissions control or something like that. I know when I buy performance parts it says CARB certified. Meaning it passes their standards
