I have a 2003 Sea Doo Sportster 4-tech with the 155hp Rotax engine.
It was running top notch until recently. While pulling a tube the other day, I noticed I was having a lot more trouble getting the boat up on plane while pulling the tube.
- no engine lights
- oil and spark plugs recently changed
- oil filter recently changed
It was running well after all those as well. Now, the symptoms are as follows:
- I don't seem to receive any extra power above 1/2 throttle, and also, there seems to be no increase in RPM above 1/2 throttle
- On the trailer with the hose attached, I noticed the same thing, and also that above 1/2 throttle there seemed to be some vibration on the trailer.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this or what my next steps might be? Thanks for any suggestions. I have been a long-time reader on these forums, first time poster. Thanks!
