I have a 2003 sportster 4tec. The boat keeps popping up to a 7.5 amp cluster fuse. If I put a 10 amp in it it''s fine. I have a new selonoid and battery. I pulled the swith out and put a metter on currency. When I push the button its 000 perfect. Everything works except the starting. If I jump the selonoid it starts and runs perfect. When I push the button it kills it perfect. There is a yellow wire with red stripe looks like it goes to the ECU. There is a purple wire going to the selonoid. I did a currency from the purple wire to the switch to the engine side of the purple wire on the plug. IT was 001. If I leave the metter on currency hooked to the switch wire and put it on the battery side purple wire its like 1090. The then put meter on volts and hooked it too the battery side purple wire and touched it to ground and got nothing. What is wrong? What do I need to test? Is the yellow wire with red stripe or either purple supposed to be hot? Got this boat sold and I don't need anything wrong please help soon!!!!!
