I think it's a little too much power unless you really anticipate needing to bring a deeply discharged battery to full charge in a short time. Price is pretty good and it will work if you can stuff it in there somewhere but overkill.

Should be adequate for handling normal weekend power accessories and battery maintenance on a cabin cruiser.

The ChargeTek is dual channel 3-stage and fully encapsulated in the same way the batterytender 800 (single channel) unit, this makes them reliably waterproof. The size is considerably small making it easy to mount in the best location.

I'm pretty sure you can find an online vendor who accepts paypal, I've seen them listed on Cabellas site and several battery vendor sites I think.

Here is what I installed on my 210 Challenger. Has been working great for a few years. I use it when parked at home, but more importantly when I have the boat in the water at the beach for a few weeks each year. I'm paranoid about rain storms running the bilge pump and killing the battery. I ran the plug to the rear deck opposite the remote control for the stereo. I think it turned out pretty well.

Mine is a single-output, but other than that, yes - the same one. The mount is nice to have - makes it so easy. I would recommend testing the plug in the mount before you install it. Mine had a little play in it, so I used a tie-wrap around it to hold the tab down on the mount.

I picked a spot that I could reach without getting on the boat to plug it in. I also wanted to make sure I could access the back side of the hole to tighten the nut install the tie-wrap. You will notice the cup holder right below the mount. I removed the cup holder and could reach up to do everything pretty easily. That way I didn't have to stand on my head to access it from the engine compartment. Used a hole saw to drill the hole, w/ masking tape covering about 4x the hole size to protect the gel coat.

I mounted the charger in the engine compartment, using stainless steel bolts and nylock nuts. The other side of the charger is the under-seat storage compartment, so you can't even see the bolts with the carpet in the compartment.

I did have to extend the battery connections because the battery is on the starboard side, and the mount for the plug is on the port side. Not a big deal. I love the setup.

This is the charger I have mounted in my 97 speedster, fits snugly behind the pop-up rope pole. I use these at work all the time on our battery powered equipment, and have been please with them thus far.

Yeah, I have that outlet port as well, I just haven't installed it yet. I havent really decided where I want to put it yet, and I need to install my battery cutoff switch too. Maybe one day when it is above 50 and I have the day off I will get it all installed :p
