i have a 2003 seadoo challenger 1800 with a 240 efI engine i took it to the shop and the shop did something to it to make it run but it went back to acting the same way.. the way is when i get ready t go i hear a beaping sould like 4 beeps it won't let the boat get over a certain rmps.. can you reset the computer to fix the problem but if you don;t really fix it it will go back to the problem?.. is it some were on the boat to hook a machine to let you know what the beeps are... anyone please let me know if you know something on this thank you.

Your boat has gone into "limp" mode....you cannot reset it yourself, will need to take it to a dealer again and have them diagnose the problem. When you had your dealer reset it the first time did they tell you if it threw any codes when they hooked up the computer??

My 2004 sportster went into "limp" mode the first time I took her out, took it to the dealer to check it out, no codes so they reset it and did some investigation...turns out the plastic dryer type hose from the air box to the engine intake was rotted (the metal spiral inside) and when the engine was running at full throttle the suction would ca-lapse the hose causing the air/fuel mixture to get screwed up tripping the ECU into limp mode!! I replaced the hose with aluminum flex venting I bought at Home Depot, allot cheaper and better then the OEM hose.

Don't know if my situation relates to your issues, but just thought I'd post my past experience!!

Good Luck
