Hi All!

Very excited to be a member of this forum. I currently have (2) 04' GTX SC PWC and recently purchased an 03' Seadoo Islandia 240 HP EFI.

We are very pleased with the Islandia, but I do have a question/problem. Our Speedo works, but it does not reset to 0 mph. When off, or at idle, the speedo reads 10mph and increases as we apply throttle. Any suggestions on how to fix this, or am I better off to purchase a new speedometer?

Thanks!

Welcome tothe seadooforum jareaver. Wow, your islandia is really fast as it is going 10 standing still. On the back of the spedo might be a adjustment for the spedo. I know the new ones have a dial to adjust them. If not I wouldn't worry about it. The new ones are very expensive and if it wrong under 10 mph...does it matter?

Thanks for the reply Karl. I'll try to see if I can adjust the speedo by looking at the back of the gauge. I've priced a replacement, and the cheapest I found was $222. I would like an accurate mph indicator for skiing/tubing/wakeboarding, but for that much, I'll put the money towards my fixed mount GPS that tells me my speed anyway.

The GPS is a smart move...plus you can use if for night cruises with proper navigation uses.
