2003 GTX 4-Tec no display, no beeps??

First post! Used my ski once last week in salt water. My daughter said the ski would intermittantly turn itself off but she could start it right back up. Tried to start the ski in the lake this weekend and I got nothing, no display, no beeps. Thought it was the battery so I charged it up fully and still nothing. When pressing the start/stop button, I do not get any display. Pressing it five times does nothing. Tried both keys with no difference.

Read other posts about the post possibly needing a cleaning but is that cleaning just the outside? The post always gets washed when the ski is cleaned. Shouldn't I be getting some display without the key when I hit the start button? The start/stop switch doesn't give me a good tactile feedback so I guess I could check that switch but would it stop the ski from beeping if it was bad?

Any other possibilities?

try cleaning the lanyard post and the key, they can also get saltwater in the key cap, also check all the connections, mainly the grounds, also check the computer connections

check your fuses too

I'll check them as well but I would think the intermittant problem of it shutting off by itself but then starting right back up would have elimnated any fuses frombeing the culprit.
