Hello everyone, I’ve been reading through the forums to solve this issue but I can’t seem to figure it out.

My seadoo 2003 GTI LE won’t start
Changed plugs, noticed the old ones were moist

Charged battery, when I place they key in I get two beeps as normal, when I hit the start, one tick from solenoid and my starter makes winding noise.

I ordered the replacement solenoid, but further investigation I also found that my shaft is rocking back and forth a little but won’t turn over.

Is it that I possibly have something stuck in the intake? I did notice some rocks in the back

Please help

Try pulling out the spark plugs and then hit starter. You might want to put a rag over plug holes as Oil might come out. You can get a Electrical test light from harbor freight for $4 to test the solenoid. Just clamp the ground to 1 part if the engine and touch the probe to the solenoid terminals. 1 terminal connected straight to positive battery should always be hot.if Other terminal should light up the tester only when you hit the start button. I don't know your model exactly but assume there is a rear electrical box with the solenoid. If you're in there anyway, check any fuses. If that all checks out I would use electrical tester and make sure battery has >12.6 volts and clean wiring terminals between the battery and the starter.

If it still doesn't turn over, I would pull out the starter and look for corrosion or other damage and replace.

Make sure to report back so we know what the solution was or if you need more advice.

Good luck

You grabbed the pto and turned back and fourth and it just wiggles slightly if that's correct your pump is locked up.as far as the starter making a whirling sound if pump was locked up and you keep trying to start it chances are you broke the Bendix trying to force the motor to turn.pull the pump and check and see if motor spins over by hand with plugs removed

So I changed the solenoid, I removed the pump and make sure there is no rocks inside, everything there looks good. The crank still won’t turn with the pump disconnected and the spark plugs out. Still hearing the winding noise from starter.

Time to pull the head and look for mechanical damage, something internal in the engine is locked up.

If the bendix is broken should the crank still be able to turn?

I have never seen a bendix lock an engine. Basically it’s a one way clutch so even if it broke you should still be able to turn the engine the other way.

But heck, anything is possible.

What happened just prior to it all of a sudden not starting. Run rough. water intrusion. running lean.
