Boat had been running great. Knew it was getting a little on oil, low oil alarm started to go off coming back across the lake.. ran fine.
Next day I put some oil in it.. immediately upon firing the boat the alarm started going off again.. four beeps. I thought maybe it just didn't have enough oil so we took off.. (figured I'd get some at the gas doc)
At this point, if I throttled up too much, the beep would be a solid beep (it wasn't the fuel beep)
Headed two more quarts of oil to no avail.
The problem seem to get a little worse and I had to use less throttle. Maintaining a periodic 4 beeps.
She started to go into limp mode and I could barely idle.. upon gimping it across the lake
She shut down.
Towed back to the dock. With the boat in the water on the trailer it did fire.
I had the exact boat with the 240 optimax and experienced the overheat situation out the pisser. I know how to check and clear all of that.. just seems like it might have been something else or possibly a bad sensor? I've heard that's a thing with these. I just don't want to go change a bunch of aimless sensors
Thanks for your input
