Dropped in water for season started and ran fine.. idled through no wake to dock for 1 mile or so to dock. After 3 weeks of no use starts up fine and has heavy smoke.. idled through no wake for a mile or so to open area, but when trying to accelerate cant get RPM over 1k.. ran at quarter throttle for 15 min to hopefully burn out any issues , no luck.

Back at dock pulled plugs bottom plugs on each side fouled out and plugs were wet.. fuel pump sounds to be operating properly when key on.. read some threads on possible problems, not sure where to start..

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated

Start with a compression test. On trailer. (yes, some people try to do it in the water.) All plugs out. Fully charged battery. Full throttle. Should be 130psi and all the same.

Check fuel pressure at shrader valve on top of vst. Should be 36psi key on, engine off. When you turn the key off, how long does it take for the pressure to drop to 0? Instant or several seconds? Instant can mean leaking injector(s).
Check bleed system hoses. The little black ones that run all over the forward part of the engine. The ends crack and break causing vacuum leaks.
Do you have spark on all 6? Spark tester helps here. Unless you like 40,000 volts on your fingertips.
Check trigger coil. 6 pin connector, aft of flywheel, on top. Resistance by pair. Don't remember the spec, but they should be close to the same. Check the insulation here. Merc used some really crappy wire on the old ones.
The throttle position sensor. Many threads here abut testing it. When it fails, it can cause the engine to flood at part throttle.

Thanks for information, had to get back to work for the week will pull boat and will get on it this weekend and let you know.
