I have a 2002 seadoo gtx 4 tec, whenever I plug in my key I get a one loud beep, the engine will not attempt to start. I replace the battery still no change. I checked cables all secure, I also checked fuses and the bottom 5A fuse blows out everytime I insert my key. I get one loud beep and It won't start. It just stop while riding it two days ago. Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know on the Electronic module Assy, the last fuse on the bottom is a 5A, I don't have any information showing what system that fuse is use for.

all i can think of right now is maybe neutral safety switch. I know on my boat if its not in N it will make 1 beep and will do nothing. Check the switch and be sure its working.

Witch fuse is blowing?

Hi, I have also the same Seadoo with a different problem, hopefully someone will be able to provide some insight. Apparently, at one point last year someone put to much oil in the seadoo and was burning oil and local mechanic thought that the engine needed replacement. However, this year I brought it to a Seadoo mechanic who determined there was to much oil in her. So he drain some out and it appears to be working purfectly. It only has 60hrs on her. I later took her out for a spin and she perforned fine for about 30 minutes and then it beeped loudly and "Check Engine" warning came on. I stopped her and checked the engine and everything looked fine no overheating and no burning of oil. I noticed that after this occured a couple of times that all I have to do when the warning come on is to shut it off and start her right away and it runs fine for another 20 to 30 minutes. Would this be a sensor going off due to the past issue with to much oil?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

 After hours and days of troubleshooting, I lsolated my problem to a bad ECU. It costed me $740 to purchase and $35 to get is reprogrammed. I took my Seadoo on the lake July 3,4, it ran like new. Now I'm attempting to repair my bad ECU.

Hello Michel, Did you notice whether or not the E TEMP reading was high before the check engine light came on? I would also check the oil switch it may be malfunctioing.
