2002 Seadoo GTX DI Issues

I have a GTX DI that runs great for two hours out on the water and then all of a sudden it wont go over 35 miles an hour. It has a new battery. Only 53 hours on this machine. I bought it new in 2004. I use the quick connect battery terminals, they have good contact, but are loose. Can it be that? WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

If they are loose, it could be an issue. I would eliminate them for a trip and see if the issue goes away.

I have seen where the fuel pumps get hot and top working efficiently. It take some time as the fuel circulates from tank to engine and back to the tank. So I would do a fuel pressure test when you get the decreased performance assuming it comes back once you hook to the battery direct..
