I have a 2002 DI that has no pump pressure, When I put my thumb over the outlet hoes that goes to the fuel rail I get no pressure.

What could be the problem.

The fuel pump does not run constantly. Just a couple of seconds when the key is inserted and while cranking. The only accurate way to measure is which a fuel pressure gauge. Pump pressure is only half of the system. You should read 27psi with the fuel pump running. Then cranking the engine 80psi air pressure from the compressor for a total of 107psi for proper ski operation.

I get 26 psi when I turn the switch and it holds but does not go any higher when engine is turned over , It is the air pressure pump that has no pressure ????

Could be. Next step would be to check pressure coming from the air compressor during cranking. It should dead head well over 80 as the regulator in the fuel rail is set to relieve at 80 psi.

I get no pressure at all

Decided to pull out the pump, has 3 bolts one easy to get out the other two are hard to get to plus are so close to housing you can not get a socket on them. ?????

Going to get a 10mm deep well socket and turn it down and hope that works

You should try replacing the o-rings on the fittings first. That is the easiest. I sure hope your piston and all that stuff is good. I wouldn't wish a pump piston job on anyone. Miserable. Good Luck with it !!
