Ok.. I got this 2002 RXDI 951cc ski at the beginning of the summer... everything on it was running great... The last time I went out on it, I ran it and it started to beed about 2 times a minute... did it for about 2 minutes, then stopped.... I flushed the ski plenty of times with the ski running which i read is what how you need to do it.. Then this guy I know that races them says that you don't need to do that so I didn't once.. Tried 2 start it afterwards and nothing... no turning over or anything.. realized there was water in the engine i pulled the plugs and cleared it out and it started... I took it out and it ran a little sluggish, but I figured the plugs got hella crap on them or something. .I just cleaned the plugs up a bit, started it, and now the red light in on with maintenance written on the screen... Is that just the 150hr check up or something??? the ski still runs fine... or is it somethign i should worry about?? sorry this is so long..

Whoever told you that either has no clue or he has a 4-tec. The 951 2 stroke you must run the engine while flushing.

ya.. i know that now.. unfortunately it took that to realize it... he used used to race jet ski's so i figured he knew more than i did.... soon 2 realize.... but anyways.. so the ski runs.. no valves are bent and no ticking from the motor or nothing... but the maintenance light.. should i be worried or is it just a 150hr tune up thing??

To see if it is just a maintenance reminder push the "set" button for a few seconds and if it goes off than it was just a reminder. If it has a problem it might throw you a code that the dealer will have to repair and reset after the repair.

Keep us posted on you progress.

You seadoo just reminds you it needs maintenance every now and then... If it was a problem it wouldn't go out.

Anytime...
