2002 LRV DI 951 Maintenance light on won't rev up sounds like it's missing.

Last time I had a missing problem it was the rectifier and I changed it out works great for two seasons so far, I was out this weekend on a long run back up river and all of a sudden it started to bog down then come back and then just lost power and reved spiratically, it idels fine and will get you back to shore but only 5mph, the maintenance light also comes on, I checked the plugs they look fine, could this be a fuel problem?, looks like filter is a crimped on one piece unit, I have seen a couple of posts regarding fuel pumps and filters looks like DI motors are expensive parts from SeaDoo. Any help on best way to figure this out would be great.

I don't have any codes yet but the light only comes on when it's off idle, I suppose you need something that reads a code that will clear code?, I bought this used 3 years ago so I'm not sure if filters for fuel have been changed, it has 230 hours on it.

That will need to be hooked up to B.U.D.S. and see what`s going on... I`m surprised, a DI with that many hours, congrats...
our`s would idle, then when you reached 1700 rpms, the red light would flash and wouldn`t rev past that point.
never found out what caused the malfunction, traded it in bc it was a warranty repair back in 2004.

Maybe check across the battery terminals and see if the battery is charging. It sounds from your explanation exactly like my DI acted when the rectifier went out. DI's are prone to eat rectifiers. There are several aftermarket ones on the market that seem to solve the prolem.

Ok well changed out the rectifier no change, still has 2 beeps as normal but will not rev up smooth past half throttle, fuel issue??? I have had trouble finding someone who can diagnose problem Malcomb Smith says they don't work on LRV DI anymore??? anyone know of someone in the So. Cal area that still can work on this 951 DI motor?. Thanks for any help.
