Hello all, I have a 2002 GTX DI with the 951 CC motor, I just had the entire motor rebuilt top to bottom, the motor runs mint, but here is my problem.

If you slowly put on the throttle, around 4000 RPM, the beep goes off and shows maintenence, from there on out, it won't go past 35 MPH...BUT if you are at a dead stop and pin it, it goes right up to 6800 RPM and has absolutely no troubles at all, but once you are at full throttle, the Maint light comes on again BUT the machine does not loose RPM's and go into Limp mode...what could this possibly be? i've called a few dealers with zero luck for any information or help, and they want a mass amount of money just to hook up a computer to it. Any Help would be appreciated!

By the way, all the sensors were checked and rechecked, the only thing is that the TPS might need calibration??

Thanks,

Kevin.

Kevin, the problem is that it needs to be put on the B.U.D.S,(Bombardier Utility Diagnosis System). After its repaired the code needs to be cleared also.
I don't know any way around it.

Do you think that might have anything to do with the TPS? My mechanic is baffled about the situation, could it just be that it needs to be Diagnosed and reset? My mechanic doesn't have the proper Diagnostic equipment to do it, I am from Brantford, Canada and I am wondering if there are any reptuable shops I can go to near the Toronto area, most of the ones I talk to don't give me the time of day.
Thanks.

Kevin.

Kevin, go to " www.seadoo.com " and click on "locate dealer" link add zip code and see what pops up. Only certified dealers are listed, and will have the B.U.D.S. software to help you.
Keep us posted on your progress.

I agree with Karl you have to get to dealer that has BUDS. There are many codes that can throw a DI into limp home.
