Machine sounds like it is cavitating on wot from a dead stop. Machine revs up to 7500rpm's on take off but sounds like it's cavitating, and also sounds like it is sputtering like the rev limiter is cutting in. The machine won't even lift itself out of the water at all on takeoff, definetly can't do a powerturn at all because it seems like the engine is reving but no go like a slipping clutch. A new wear ring was installed yesterday thinking that it was the problem but no such like, but it did make a difference. The machine only has 22 hours. Any help or suggestions would be great. Is there any common problems with an 02 GTX 4-Tech that I should know about that could be causing this problem. Also when the machine is out of the water on the trailer and you rev it up it seems to sputter at full throttle, could that be the rev limiter or a cylinder breaking down ( fire ). Also the machine will reach around 55 mph on top end. The machine/ engine seems to work really well once you get going it's just on takeoff under full load that it won't perform properly. Please help
