Hello! I have a 2002 Seadoo challenger 2000 with a Mercury 240 EFI engine. Worked great last summer. Now it will only turn on and stay running for 10-20 seconds and shuts off. Will start right back up every time again. Replaced the lift pump and was told it was the ECU is bad. Bypassed everything possible in the ECU and it is still doing it. Tried another ECU and same thing. It has spark, fuel, power to everything. Wired up the fuel pumps separately to make sure they were working. When the starter disengages it stops running. It will stay running with the key turned as if you were trying to start it. Nothing wrong with the key. Is there anything that we may be missing? It has a new starter, new fuel, new battery. Maybe something simple?

Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator? It’s located on top of the Vapor Separator Tank. You may have low fuel pressure. It’s an easy test to check. You simply attach your standard tire air pressure gauge to the schrader valve and look for psi between 34-36. The pen in the pic is pointing to it.
