2001rfi gtx check value

I've just got a 2001rfi gtx and is there susposed to be a one way check value in the flushing connecter. When it is running the is a strong stream of water coming out it. I'm not getting a engine hot light, but all of my other older gtx's aren't having any water coming out of there flushing intakes connecters.
