Hey guys i was wondering if you could help me.

I was out on the water and everthing was fine, sitting there minding my own business whilst a guy got his boat out of the water. When it was my turn to come in i tryed to start the engine... and nothing !

Closer inspection on dry land i can hear a clicking noise from the solernoid area so it aint the button. I called the closest dealer to me and told them my problem, they told me to put a screwdriver between the 2 terminals to see if the engine turns over or trys to crank. but it doesnt ! there is not even a spark !

Help guy ive only had the ski 3 weeks.

Test the battery and all of the cables. Remove & test the starter.

Thanks Chester, Battery fully charged, it was taken out to be charged. Fuse inside solenoid box is fine. cant get at the starter for 1 bolt on the exhaust manifold. Mpem fuses all perfect.

Ive tryed to turn the crank at the back with the plugs out to see if she turns but to no avil. It turns but im not sure if the rubber boot turning or what, im not sure which bit turns there to be honest.

Local dealer wants £60 (Aprox $96) just to tell me whats wrong with it which is a little steep if you ask me. so i would really like to fix this myself if possible.

Ive Just had a simular problem, but on my GTX limited (absolutly dead).

Checked all the usual things, after 2 hours of electrical testing front to back of the jetski. I found a loose pin on a connector plug going into the box where the solenoid is,that was it, fired up staright away.

So my suggestion is , check every pin in every plug, tug the wire from the back ( gently). look inside the plug, check the prongs arent pushed back.
Its a long boring job,but it might be worth a shot.

Where you from?, im an original Norherner aswell,
Jetskiing in those cold waters aint much fun without a dry suit.

You lucky sod !

Im from newcastle upon tyne, town called south shields mate water aint to bad mate im not brave enough for a wetsuit yet so im sticking with the drysuit lol

Ive had to bite the bullet and put it into the shop and get repaired.

Must admit the local guy (Powerhouse Marine Ltd) are a bunch of great guys and will look after you!

I will let you guys know what the problem was when it comes out the shop.
