2001 XP 947cc starting issues low power

Hi,

I wonder if anybody can help. I tried starting the jet ski after winter and it had a flat battery which i then charged. It then started ok but when i went to use it is would not start. It would turn over slowly but not enough to start. I bought a new battery and new spark plugs but it will not start unless the battery has been on charge for numerous hours. I assume its some sort of a earth fault but do not know were to look any ideas? When the enigine is cranking the voltage drops from 12v to approc 8v?

sounds/looks like a bad cell in battery..

so your starter draw is 2 volts...how many amps is the starter drawing when you crank it? Also check for corrosion, check connections, check your main ground at the motor.
