So I have a 2001 sportster le, I was having a great time all day and on my way back the kid said, daddy go fast... soooo whats a dad to do.. I attempted just that but noticed my throttle cable was stuck, this happened several times on our way back in but all I would have to do was go back N and I would have my throttle back. With that being said we pulled into our slip and when I went to go in reverse the reverse cable broke, so into the bumpers we went stuck in F. I was able to kill the motor before impact but yes it was still IMPACT.
I ordered new cable and had my buddy who is a really good seadoo repairmen and has fixed my jetski many times to fix the new reverse cable. So he did and as soon as he installed the shifter back to the bolt and went through the motions of forward N reverse he says it got stuck in foward and he put I little pressure back to go to N and the cable broke again, not even hooked up to to pump.. wth is going on here.. I'm lost please help
