I'm currently running stock everything except I have a solas 15/20 and a solas intake grate on my boat. Before I put them on I was getting 49mph@6800-6900RPM, with them I'm getting 47mph@6300rpm. My compression is 135psi/cyl. Just wondering if there is anything I can do with the stock stuff to maybe get a little more out of it...changing the hi/low adjustments on the carb, changing the water regulator adjustment or changing the RAVE valve adjustment???

Also I am going to rebuild my carbs eventually and had a recommendation from someone else of going from stock 75 to 85 on the low jet and going from stock 162.5 to 167.5 on the high jet and changing the needle to a 2.3 from a 2.0 and still using the stock spring to lower my pop off to 20 psi and adding prok filters???

Would really like to hear anyone's thoughts on any of this?

One thing that will drop your WOT is if one of the RAVEs are sticking, clean them 1st and see what that does. You might be surprised, it happened to me.

Can you still feel the ignition timing bump at 80% throttle? My throttle position hall effect sensor on the cable was kaput.

I installed a 77 LS jets in mine, off idle to about 70% throttle was too lean and was hesitating.

I'm not a big fan of getting more from a 951, just getting it to run correctly.

Here's a photo of my plugs after a bunch of hours on them, looks good to me.
