2001 Speedster: Will bilge pump auto-switch work if battery switch is in "OFF" position?

Planning to rent a well for the rest of the season and keep boat at the dock on the water.
Do you guys know if bilge pump auto-switch work if battery switch is in "OFF" position? I want to make sure i don't sink my boat when i leave it there for 8 weeks.

Mine does and you can test by filling the bildge area with a hose and it does take quite a lot of water before it triggers.

From the factory no. But most people will re-wire it when they leave them in the water. So it's best to test.
