2001 Seadoo GTX DI lose of power

ANOTHER DI PROBLEM. HAHA
So I have owned my 2001 gtx di for a little over a year and after a long hard day on the lake this past weekend I have ran into a problem. After running it full throttle for a couple mins. it will straight fall on it's face and the red light will blink and beep and flash maintenance. but it will still stay running but will run in limp mode and will do nothing but rev upon hitting the throttle again. now if I turn it off and let it sit for a min. it will repeat the process. and the trouble I'm running into is my local power sport shop will not work on anything this old. please help and any information will be greatly appreciated!!

I would start by checking battery voltage with the ski off and then the ski running post back results.

Yep as Tyman says it's probably the rectifier. Battery voltage should be 13.5 at 4500 rpm.

I recommend only OEM for the rectifier as the cheap after market don’t usually hold up.
