My father in law bought this boat last year and has been chasing this surging issue ever since. Some local marinas hat work on season boats will not work on this cause it's a merc. The boat starts and idles fine. However once it gets to 3k rpm it surges. He's had the wear ring and prop replaced, stator, plugs. Drained the fuel tank and replaced the filters. Looking for any help and advice you guys can give us. Not sure exactly what engine is in this boat but, in 2001 there were two options and this is the less hp one. At least that's what he's telling me.
