I recently purchased a 2001 Sea Doo Challenger 1800 and it worked fine when I first took it out. We got a little stuck in the sand and all, but after we were freed from the sand, the boat worked fine again. I drove it to the launch, took it home, flushed it, and everything was good. This was a week ago. I went to launch it yesterday and when I got it in the water, it wouldnt start. When I turn the key I get tones, each one spaced by maybe a second, like a beeping. Does anyone know what could be wrong or what this beeping is? Thank you so much in advance for your help! :)

I have an idea to help, but I need to know howmany beeps ift is giving. The mpem is telling you the problem by the beeps. Listen and count them. If it is 4 beeps it is in gear. 1 beep means it isn't reconizing the DESS,(Digital Electronic Security System), by the MPEM,( Multi Purpose Electronic Module). You could try this in the mean time.
I would start by cleaning the Post on the safety lanyard. It is beeping and saying it isn't connecting to the Mpem, (Multi Purpose Electronic Module). It needs to beep 2 times to let you know it is ready to start. Clean the post and cap with soapy water. Don't use any grease of lubricant on it as it needs a clean connection to make contact. Connect the lanyard to see if it is making a connection. 2 beeps and it's ready to fire up.
Do you have a seadoo shop manual? If not here’s an idea for you. You could join as a "premium member". As a premium member you can down load a authentic seadoo manual from the seadoo manual library. In the library is a variety of manuals for almost all years and models. You can view as many as you like on line as a PDF file, or download it and print it for your personal and private use. There are operator manuals and repair manuals for you to do your own repairs on your seadoo. The repair manuals have everything from troubleshooting, repair procedures to winterizing. It contains wire diagrams torque specs and pictures for disassemble and assemble instructions. In the spec sheets it tells everything needed to maintain oil changes, spark plug gaps, carburetor rebuilds and impeller wear ring tolerances. Click on the "Seadoo Manuals" link at the top of the page for more details. If you need any help or get in a jam, we are always here to answer your questions too. Keep me posted on your progress or get back with the beep count.

So heres the weird part. I went to go figure out how many beeps there were, and it started right up! It worked for 2 uses, now its back to the beeping business. It is a continuous beep, I timed it for just under a minute before it got annoying and i took the key out lol. Also, the oil light flashes when it beeps, however, the oil is full! Any suggestions?

A continuous beeping means it is an over heat problem. Check the temperature sensors on the cylinder heads to see if they are working properly.
