Hi All,
Took out the boat today, it was working fine, at about 4500 rpms it was clipping around 22 to 25 mph.
After about an hour it started to slow down and at the same 4500 rpms it was going 10 mph, if I gave it throttle it would rev up to 7000 rpms but it still did not go. Could this problem be the wear rings?
Thanks

It could be a wear ring issue and or a carbon seal issue. If you shine a light up through the grate and then look at the impeller from the back of the boat, the gap between the impeller and the wear ring should be no more than 10-thouandths of an inch, (About the width of a dime).

There is a good chance that you have a rope or weed wrapped around the shaft or impeller. And,,, the item often falls out once you pull the boat. So, if you see nothing you should take it for a ride to see if the issue is still present.
