Good morning guys,

What can you say about a 2001 GTX 2 stroke with +/- 150 hrs on it..it starts, runs but after a while it seems like a cylinder falls out like something is not getting enough electricity maybe?

they're selling it for $1,300 with trailer and all..I'm thinking about bringing a mechanic over so we can check it out...and see if it can be fixed for not too much...

what do you guys think? go for it?

1 more concern though...the seadoo will go in sea water (salt water) ...and since 2 strokes are cooled with the water they're in,will the salt water damage the engine? I know its not supposed to damage anything if its spooled everytime when you're done riding and plus, the previous owner had it in salt water all the time...but oh well this is just a question

thanks

you maintain it and it will be fine in the saltwater.....loosing a cylinder.....get a compression check and look that ski over good before you hand them the cash, and if they are asking $1300 offer them 900-1000 for it!

he thinks its an electrical thing...

$1300 is too expensive? or just offer 900-1000 to get it for even less?

Never offer someone exactly what they want...he does not know what is wrong with it, which makes an easy way to lower the price...or he knows exactly whats wrong with it and is trying to cut his losses.

who thinks it is an electrical issue, the owner selling it?

Do not ever buy a ski with out doing a compression check.

never my friend !!
I'm taking a mechanic with me..i know him from the local dealership here...it all depends on what he says about it...
