I have searched other threads but none seem to have this exact issue. If there is, my apologies, new here so just direct me!
Here’s my issue. I’ll give the run down if what has gone on.
2001 GTX dual carb.
Cleaned carb, replaced lines. Key beeps twice. After reinstalling cleaned carb, fresh gas and battery took the ski out and water tested. She ran like a beauty for about 5 mins, then pulled her back to the dock to let my brother ride and it wouldn’t crank. Turns over just fine. Getting fuel and spark. Checked the rectifier fuse and voltage on battery, both were fine.
All it’s doing now that it is back on land is just turning over. Sounds strong, but just won’t crank. Thought it may have been the carbs but it won’t even half crank when gas is poured into carb. Could this be an ignition coil gone bad all of a sudden after 5 mins of riding or does anyone have any insight of to what may be the issue going on here? I’m out of answers that I thought I could fix myself.. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!!
