Does anyone know what oil this takes? is it the Sea-Doo XP-S 2 Stroke Synthetic Oil Yellow Bottle or something different, I just got the ski, the previous owner wasnt sure if it was syn or not, what if its not syn in there now can I mix it with the xps syn (if thats the correct one) . Thanks

He/she didn't know???? Seadoo synthetic is amber/brown in your lines (line should be clear). If they did not know they BS'ed you to cover it up. It also has a disctintive smell when running you learn in time. Small project to drain out but NEVER mix the oils. They do NOT mix. Search here for details.
 
I've had the 2001 GTI since 2005 and use two different oils, depending on what's in stock. You'll do fine with either Pennzoil Air Cooled Engine Oil (see the spec sheet at http://www.pennzoil.com/documents/2-Cycle Premium Oil for Air Cooled Engines.pdf) or Mercury/Quicksilver Premium Outboard 2 Cycle Engine Oil (make sure the back of the bottle reads API service on the label) The local walmart here carries the quicksilver oil in the summer. What ever oil you get make sure it's for applications requiring API lubricants. Do not use any yamaha oils a shop might try to give you. Just be sure not to mix the synthetic oil with these oils.
