2001 Challenger Tach Erratic

Hello -

Engine runs great, but at about half throttle with tach showing 4,000 rpm anymore throttle will drop reading down to 2,000 rpm. WOT also 2,000 rpm. This is my second year with boat and no other problems. Plenty of power towing, comes out of hole strong, 52 mph top end. Always been like this.

It's most likely the gauge itself. The gauges are made by Faria, you can probably get a replacement that's close to OEM.
