Hey guys, just have a few questions about removing the seat on the XP, got a bad fuel baffle. First off, is it better to remove from the front, or the rear? If from the rear, is removing the 17mm bolt from the bottom shock eyelet all that it takes, or is there more disassembly required to get the seat to raise up?

Hinge pin....

The seat is hinged so that it can be lifted from the rear. There shouldn't be much more than a latch that keeps it down. The manual wasn't very specific but if it's a bolt, it's only one of them.

The fuel baffle? I'm not familar with your hull configuration but it seem I remember that you will slide the tank forward and actually pull the baffle out through the front. ........sorry I can't help more, maybe someone else will chime in here who has the XP.....

XP Seat

There is no latch that I'm aware of. Through the rear hatch the shock bolts to a mounting bracket via the 17mm bolt, that is under a black rubber boot. I took it out, but was not able to raise the seat. So I tried in front taking out the 2 bolts that hold the front of the seat to either side of the hull. Had a little more luck here, I was able to get the seat up far enough to remove the rubber bung to access the fuel baffle, unfortunately this did not create enough space for me to get the baffle out. It also looks like the fuel selector valve is accessed also by removing the seat' so it's got to come off to be cleaned, & get rid of those crappy grey fuel lines.
