ill start from the beginning , after bringing it out of hibernation this year i noticed that the engine closest to the battery to get it started i had to hold down the start button for a bit to get it to turn over. the other day i was rippin around and that same engine died. the start button was instant to turn over now but wouldnt start it. i took off the solonoid box(if thats what its called) and the previous owner must have forgot the gasket so it was really corroded, i cleaned up all the connections changed the 15 amp fuse (other one fell apart) . i reinstalled it and all i got was a click. so i put the one from the other engine and turns over great but it wont fire im thinking no spark . for jokes i put the broken soloeniod on the working motor and it just clicked. any ideas? bad ground or did the faulty solonoid cause another issue?

its a 2000 seadoo challenger twin engine 750 2 stroke rotax

any suggestions would be great thanks

750 Rotax? No such thing. You have 800's.

So... if the engine died in while running... then pull the plugs, and check for spark... and then check for compression.

OK... the 800 has an issue that the pick-up coil breaks from it's mount... and you loose spark. To check it... remove the mag cover.

ill check that for sure, been gone all weekend so now its back to the boat, will it be obvious to see that its broken? any pics?

ok back to the boat , found out the mag cover is a b(&^( to get off. how do test the stator? i have an ohm meter not sure where to put ends. and is there any tricks to looking inside to see if the pick up coil is broken?
