2000 seadoo rx oil leak at the pump

So I seem to have an oil leak at my pump. There is no oil leaking from the tank because I thought originally that was where it was coming from since the seam was split. The hose is dry all the way to the pump. When I feel down there I can feel oil around the pump cable and it’s wet put the hose is dry. Is it very common for them to leak there. I tried to take pictures but it’s not working very well.

Which leads to my next question. Is it ok to ride it without oil and block off plate if I premix at 50:1 or should I move to 40:1?

You need to verify that the 3/32 tygon hoses from the pump to the cylinders are intact..
They get old, brittle and break.
If never replaced, do it now
Keep the injection, very reliable.

I run 40:1 injection.

You may find the source of your oil leak to be the bleed screw on the injection pump. There is a copper washer that helps seal the fitting. I've found them missing many times. You can try snugging it with a 8mm socket (I believe). Be gentle. I put a white paper towel in locations I think are leaking. You can also wipe everything down and get all the oil off then wait a bit and wipe again. Find the source. Good Luck

If there's a worm gear hose clamp on the feed line going to the oil pump, decent chance the hose split under it. but if your replacing that hose you might as well do them all.
